BREAKING! Fountain of Youth Discovered and You Won’t Believe the SOURCE Which Could Have SERIOUS Implications
As outlandish as it appears, Stanford University’s School of Medicine scientists are claiming that the blood of young persons transfused to elderly persons can hypothetically reverse the aging process. The study, being exalted as a “breakthrough”, was published in the
journal of Science and is believed to aid in health problems such as Alzheimer’s disease.
The research itself has discovered that blood from young donors not only ‘recharges’ the brain but it also creates new blood vessels and improves memory. Furthermore scientist believe this medical “miracle” could potentially lead the line in anti-aging treatments.
Harvard University has also jumped in on the study and discovered a “youth protein” that circulates in the blood. According to the study this “protein”, known as GDF11, keeps the brain and muscles young and strong. The GDF11 regulates stem cell activity and is found more abundantly earlier in life, but diminishes with age. The University is also working on a second study that boosts the GDF11 in the elderly. Results have shown that the elderly were able to run faster and exhibited improved ability to recover from injury.
Human trails are expected to begin within two to three years. Studies thus far have been restricted to mice, however scientist believe the data they collect could bring rapid improvements for humans in the future.
Professor Doug Melton at Harvard’s department of stem cell and regenerative biology explained:
“This should give us all hope for a healthier future.
“We all wonder why we were stronger and mentally more agile when young, and these two unusually exciting papers actually point to a possible answer.
“There seems to be little question that GDF11 has an amazing capacity to restore aging muscle and brain function.”
Professor Lee Rubin, another Harvard stem cell biologist, also had this to say:
“We do think that, at least in principal, there will be a way to reverse some of the decline of aging with a single protein. It isn’t out of question that GDF11, or a drug developed from it, might be worthwhile in [treating] Alzheimer’s disease.”
Many believe that the GDF11 protein discovered by Harvard is somewhat responsible for the findings at Stanford University, when they discovered that young blood can reverse aging.
Stanford’s School of Medicine, Dr. Saul Villeda, stated:
“We’ve shown that at least some age-related impairments in brain function are reversible. They’re not final.”
The study itself, named the “vampire therapy”, involved taking the blood of a three-month-old mice and continually injecting it into an 18-month-old mice who was near the end of its life span. The study’s findings revealed improvements of performance, memory, and learning in the elderly mice.
Dr. Wyss-Coray, the lead researcher of the study concluded:
“
You don’t need to know anything about how the brain works. You just give an old mouse young blood and see if the animal is smarter than before.
“It’s just that nobody did it. Our data indicate that exposure of aged mice to young blood late in life is capable of rejuvenating synaptic plasticity and improving cognitive function.”
