when do i leave here?

Hi all,

This horary question is titled 'when do i leave this job/country?' but actually a career question since i am here for my work and i cannot stay here if it not for work.

i arrived here in april 2010 for initially 2 year contract. it is expireing now in 2 months and i want to know if i am moving onto something new or not. currently there is a possiblity of extension of contract but it is still up in the air and i dont know what will happen. in the meanwhile, i am applying for better position elsewhere but if it doesnt come up, i should probably extent the contract. however, my health is very bad here and this is something i need to consider seriously.

me= sun and moon
leaving issue=9th house significator mars since i am in foreign country
job= 10th house significator venus

the moon's early degree seems to indicate well that i dont know what will happen. i am not sure if i am staying or not. i still need to meet with my boss to discuss if she will endorse the extension of my contract or not.

the moving(mars) and me(sun) is inconjunct. probably meaning now is the crusial time to adjust all the issues.

moon and venus(the job) is separating in 2 degree meaning that i am leaving in 2 months?

sun(me) is next applying to mercury which is 11th house significator but also next job (anticlockwise from 10th house) so i may get a new job soon?

i am just wondering about the position of sun in 7th house and almost conjunct with 7th house casp. the decision of me leaving or staying is massively influenced by the guy i like with whom nothing has happened so far but he told me that i should stay here when i consulted him of his opinion. im not sure about translation of light happening with sun-mercury-saturn.

it seems that my boss is making a request to keep me here and as there is no prospects for other job, i am wondering if i am got to stay and what the chart meant. i got this feeling this is strong chart but any opinions are appreciated.

(Following is not in accordance with standard horary practice and uses whole sign house format)

7th house has to do with contract work (and of course with moving to a new location)
-7th house = fixed sign Aquarius (fixed sign indicates staying)
-querent significator Sun is posited in that fixed sign (indicates querent stays and stays in the contract work represented by the 7th house)
-7th house significator Saturn is
a) in a pitted degree which means blocked, certainly no changes
b) retrograde, which indicates going back to (or continuing) things (like the job/contract word)
c) all in a + sense, since Saturn is in its exaltation sign of Libra

So, I think the answer here-at least for a while-is no change, continued contract work, not leaving.

My question then if we can tell how long i will get to stay here. (do you think the same chart can tell us?) As my health has been the real issue here, i want to make sure that that part is covered if i am to stay.

still no news about extention of contract. will know the definite answer in a month or so.

According to this chart you should stay where you are if at all possible. Try to extend your contract. Neither the Sun nor the Moon aspect Mars which is the significator of travel in this chart. This indicates that nothing will happen.

I work for non-profit and just learned today that the funding which was financing my position is normally expires after 2 years. They are trying to see if the donor allows us to extend my contract, otherwise, they need to find different funding source. But it is all up to luck and what I was told right now is I better prepare to pack up especially I have 2.5 weeks holidays outstanding.

Hey guys,

Still no news about extension of my contract. How I hate mercury retro!! Even if it is being denied, I need to know where I need to stand and they are not even giving me that!!! My last day at office is 5th April!!!

Is the April 5th date solid (ie, for certain) OR is it just an estimated date (that might be delayed into the future if the contract is renewed)?

Dr. Farr,

My contract ends on 7th April but as it is sat and 6th April being good friday holiday, my last day at the office will be 5th April. The office was very clear that the extented contract document needs to be signed by that date otherwise, I will be thrown out of the office. The complication is that my salary comes from the funding of a donor (I work for non profit) and it is all depends on the availability of funding and donor has not been replied if they can sponsor my position at my office further or not. (**** mercury retro)

So office and I want to hear from them by next week as I still have outstanding holiday and have to do hand over should I need to leave.

From the chart, taking Moon to Venus (Venus job significator as lord of the chart's 10th house), and realizing that approximately 6 weeks (from the chart) has expired, I'll speculate that you will hear one way or the other, during this forthcoming week, or by April 2nd at the latest.

Moon is opposing Venus, ruler of job and Venus is also in bad shape being in detriment. Oppositions may mean a coming together only to separate the two apart. The other thing is that your ruler Sun is in detriment and trining Rx Saturn, which is ruler of contracts. Saturn is in fall of Sun, yet there is a trine. It does seem that there maybe a contract signing, but possibly not for very long. The trine happens in 8 units, 8 weeks from the time of question which is about the time you have to leave the compnay right?

With fixed angles, this shows no change to current situation, at least for a little while. So I do not think you will leave country just yet, but may sign a new contract. Sun will be out of its detriment in 9 units, 9 weeks, that is when you will know for sure what will happen.

So 8-9 weeks. I guess while you on holiday, after the 5th April, this issue will get resolved. I think they will sign a new contract but reluctantly. Mercury could be transalting light here from Sun/ Saturn, so Mercury is the negotiator. Mercury rules 11th and your 2nd, could be a friend, Or an organisation, a humanistic organisation that pays your salary... Mercury is the 'donor'. Mercury is also in detriment to Sun, so again the extention of contract may happen reluctantly.

Dear Rafaella,

If they do extend the contract, it is only until the end of the year (end of december) which is 8 months. In the meanwhile, I am applying other jobs with better pay and better position (as you can see in my other posts). The idea is that, I get something better before the end of extended contract, if not now but NOT to stick with what I am doing forever.

Dear all,

I have heard this morning, the am of 27th that the request for extension of my contract was now officially rejected by the donor.

The office is now trying to see the possibility if they can fund me instead. But this meant additional cost to the office and I am seeing it very unlikely.

As I need to relocate back to other side of the globe after this and need to spend time packing up etc, I asked them to decide by the end of this week then I can start using my outstanding holidays next week to sort out all the relocation issues.

If I hear the decision of the office, I will let you know.

And yes please let us know what happens. I'm curious to see what that Rx Saturn means here, Saturn even though exalted is debilitated and shows some debilitation to contract signing, but then again there is a trine to Sun. Whatever the outcome, I would like to know so we can learn from this...I rarely do these types of job related horary readings

Looks like Saturn (exalted in LIbra and freed from its pit) turned out to be a benefic, its retrograde indicating continuing of the status quo, at least as far as your employment is concerned!
