Why do we say Jupiter aspects the 7th when its 3rd and 10th aspects are stronger?

We normally say all planets have the conjunction and the 7th aspect which operate at full strength and Mars, Jupiter and Saturn additionally have their extra aspects.

What's seldom mentioned is that there are other aspects happening but we ignore them because they are considered too weak to pay much attention to.

However, according to Parashara, Jupiter's 7th aspect is only half strength (1⁄2) whereas its 3rd and 10th aspect is three quarters strength (3⁄4).

So if we are considering the strength of an aspect, it would stand to reason that if you are going to consider Jupiter's 7th aspect, you should definitely be looking at its 3rd and 10th aspect since it's supposed to be stronger.

Mars though sees 4 7 8th his 8th aspect is much powerful than other, it destroys those house good things. All planets aspects 7th at full. Out of this only sat jup aspects are important one gives n one destroys sat spoils the house where he sees whereas jup flourishes the house by auspiciousness. No need to go deep else you miss basic things, also practically its impossible to dig deep. So just know basic principle its enough. Debiliated combusted planets doesnt have aspects power. Also planets which is in deep sleep state too, avasthas of planets too we have to consider. Even if jup placed good , if its in sayana avastha then its useless. Likewise if an house is aspected by two malefics there is no use even jup aspects it. Its like a one good person n two gangesters..

Here note the word RESPECTIVELY i hope u know meaning of it. From sani you have to take dristhi so counting from sani 3 n 10 guru 5 n 9 mars 4 n 8. Right?.

Reg 7th aspect of guru that parasara alone knows we all are following his rules nobody is expert or highly spiritually evolved to decode it. To my little knowledge i think 7th falls on libra in kalpurusha n ruler venus is enemy to him may be that's y he might have said so. Seers view is different from ordinary person view. Only those hv god grace can know cosmic secrets..

So accoarding to the Wiki article, apparently sourcing Parashara, only the Sun, Venus, Mercury and Moon have full strength 7 aspects, whereas Saturn, Jupiter and Mars have partial 7th aspects.

It then goes on to say: "In actual practice, astrologers seem to ignore partial aspects" which is what you and most other astrologers seem to be doing. If most astrologers ignore this then perhaps it would make sense that you have never considered it before because it is not discussed. But I wonder where in Parashara the partial aspects are actually mentioned, it would be useful to see the original source material, because if this is indeed in there as the Wikipedia claims, then to me it doesn't make sense to only consider say Jupiter's 5,9 and 7th aspects and ignore its 3rd and 10th as apparently the 3rd and 10th would be stronger than the 7th.

Parashar in the Chapter on Aspects in Brihat Parashar Hora Sastra states that a planet projects aspects to the III and X houses, V and IX houses, VII house, and IV and VIII houses from its place.
In this scheme all planets project full aspects to the VII house but the strength of the aspect varies. For example, the strength of aspect of Saturn on the VII house is only 75%. The aspect of Jupiter on the VII house is only of 50% strength. Only the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus project full aspects to the VII house. The weakest aspect on the VII house is by Mars (25%). Therefore Mars is unlikely to cause much damage to the affairs of the seventh house through aspect.
Saturn for example projects aspect to the V and IX houses by 25% strength; Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus project aspects to these two houses by 50%; Mars projects aspect to these houses by 75% strength and Jupiter projects aspect to these houses by 100% strength. Clearly the malefic influence of Mars on the V and IX houses will be more than that of Saturn.
This is a more accurate method to judge the comparative effect of aspects on a house. For example, Mars is a naturally malign planet and Venus is a naturally benign planet. This seems to confirm that the common practice of using the 7th aspect as a full strength aspect for all planets is not the correct practice in the case with Mars, Saturn and Jupiter according to Parashara.

Most astrologers will say Mars for example only aspects the 7th, 4th and 10th when in actuality its 5th and 9th aspects are much stronger (75%) compared to its 7th aspect (25%).

Therefore, as controversial as it sounds, saying "Mars aspects the 4th, 5th, 9th and 10th" would be more accurate than saying "Mars aspects the 4th, 7th and 10th". Isn't that strange?
