Dear lovely astrologers, I hope you are fine, healthy, and happy.

I'd love to know more about Saturn's lessons and the motivation behind them. I mean, with the basic words, why? Why does Saturn restrict us in some areas?

What lessons should be taken from angles such as square, opposite sextile, and conjunction? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

A personal question: Saturn *really* restricts me in my career. I dropped my first degree in 2019 and started a new degree which was my 'dream' with full scholarship degree. I graduated with honors around 6 months ago. The bizarre thing is that nobody is hired in the new city where I moved. I literally can not find any job! Any.

My recent job opportunity fell through due to the employer's uncertainties, and the deal was ultimately canceled. This happened while Saturn was squaring my 6th house. At the same time, my daily routines completely fell apart after moving back to my family home.
Good things: I noticed a lot of shadow I get from my mother and healed (hopefully)

I’m trying to understand what this square is teaching me. What lessons should I take from Saturn's limitations in my 10th house?

Could all of this be pushing me to build a solid routine and reconnect with my center? Given the challenges of finding work here and the economic crisis, I’ve decided to pursue a master’s degree abroad and aim to relocate there. I’ve already received a few offers and plan to move in 2026. I'll be 29, which also aligns with my Saturn return. Could Saturn’s current restrictions be its way of preparing me for this move and helping me grow into a more capable, grounded version of myself?

In the place where I live, I often face judgment and condescension when people hear about the field I studied. On top of that, the difficulty of finding a job has made things even more challenging. As Virgo North Node, I slowly lose my confidence and self-esteem from getting things done.. I know I am capable of doing so many things in my career field. Why does Saturn restrict me? :)

It's a looong post, thanks for reading. Feel free to share any thoughts or insights you might have—I’m open to hearing all perspectives.

I'm finding your attached chart too small to be legible, but I wonder if Saturn on its own is such a problem. It looks like it opposes Mars. I have a natal Mars-Saturn opposition, which can play out as a classic see-saw: a Mars burst of energy or enthusiasm with the brakes off, followed by Saturn's sense of self doubt and low self-esteem.

A more empowering interpretation of Saturn would be to think of its lessons of responsibility, hard work, and authority. Saturn absolutely asks for perseverance, and getting by on very little. He runs a kind of diagnostic on our lives, pointing out areas to strengthen.

Would you mind sharing what is your field? And posting a bigger chart with legible degrees? Thanks,

I agree with @waybread that you will experience problems with saturn opp mars in your life and that it stands for sheer bad timing (mars bolts from Saturn conj and this always indicates a rush to get away from restrictions!) and sheer bad planning which can lead to failure in result. you need to always, always learn to be thorough in your plans but not that thorough as to be paralytic. there is a balance and it is this you need to learn.

there is also an indicator that you yourself are not well connected to environment so a little isolated from it all. Perhaps you miss the finer detail of how things operate around you. Perhaps you a little distanced and dont get there is timing at play. for example right now we are moving into Dec and people’s thoughts turn to family and slow downs in business is the result. Nobody looks to hire at this time.

Astrologically we have a mercury rx and mars rx both hampering plans so it will be uphill battle for everyone looking to get cooperation from others towards a result for them. and marx is rx till April. So its a bit of a long period of slowdown, to take into account.

Then you yourself are preparing for a saturn return. saturn is currently in its 12th…. just a small time to go to saturn cycle restarting. that means for you personally now is a time for impressing personal goals of your future snd preparing to start the adult 30 year cycle. this is where you review your life, judge yourself, realise what and where needs attention and prepare for the new phase. But inwards you are not yet ready for the beginning. That comes after Saturn return has completed its conjunction. It doesnt mean you cant start a new job etc, but it does mean your start may be not in the true direction you intend but be a small mistep because you are not paying full attention.

its all ok. Do your best but be kind to yourself if a misstep is made and a wrong choice made, thus you realise anything you take now wont do and thus a restart is needed in a few years time. awe cant always line up our actions with timing…and thats another saturn mars consideration (that your timing is not good), and you need to always make room for in your life anyway.

Many Moons ago a popular song was 'I want to Break Free'. Basically a desire for personal freedom of independence, yet held back by the need for another in one's life. That could fit a natal Sun in Aquarius, and the inner effects of a Moon, ruler Ascendant, in Aries and its aspects.

Saturn in Aries can act in a number of ways. It can restrict or hold one back one from taking action in life, OR it can provide the stamina within patience to 'stay for the long haul' of Aries otherwise 'NOW' temperament. (Same band sang, "I Want it All ...NOW!"). The saying, 'Everything comes to those who wait' could bring in the sextile aspect between Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn.

Mars- Saturn aspects can denote finding the will to attempt overcoming the walls/ boundaries that keep one within a confined and pre-conditioned space, ... and Cyprus is an island! The aspect often represents the force of outer authority, a/the father figure, or an older person that curbs that personal will. As mentioned by Waybread, the force attributed to responsibility, obligation, and duty, in this case in strictly personal relationships to which one feels, yet not actually is, tied (no aspect between Moon-Saturn).

The Sun is unaspected in the 9th house. The ideal of a free will ! So what is it holding its desire back?
In a previous post you mentioned having been told that you would live abroad. The 9th house is THE realm associated with long distance travel.
Maybe it's a case of natal Sun being willing to "Want to Break Free' by giving up everything ( progressive Sun in Pisces) to which it had been attached, that can release it from a self-imposed bondage?

Hello juliafox1,

in 2019, you had in particular the significant transit of Uranus to Mercury Jupiter Uranus by square.

In the more present case, you have the significant transit of Mars and at the beginning of the year 2025 will come those of Venus and Pluto...

I don't think that your Saturn Return will be significant in 2026. This year 2026 will be very important with the significant transits of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto...

I will try to give you a more detailed answer.

Ecliptique. :)
