The Rotherham child sex abuse ring, was a scandal that occurred between 2004-2014, where the term ‘grooming’ was first coined to describe a situation that occurred where underage girls were plied with drugs and alcohol by a group of older men and then raped.

What made it even more scandalous, was that all the girls were under the care of social services, and therefore were even more vulnerable, but it was these circumstances that were claimed to have them deemed ‘unreliable witnesses,’ which helped perpetuate the cycle of abuse and let it remain unreported for so long.

Furthermore, as the men were all of British Pakistani ethnicity, it raised questions about whether the Police allowed the girls to remain at the mercy of their abusers’ for fear of being labelled racist.

I think it would be interesting to see if any links to sexual abuse can be seen in a mundane chart, as it could with the chart that another member of this forum, @John Thompson had recently posted on another thread.

I recently wrote.The source of the chart I have for Rochdale is Harold Wigglesworth's 'The Astrology of Towns and Cities' which received a research award by the Astrological Association of Great Britain. Look at the Mars 180 Uranus 0 Algol [ the dismissal of feminine power ] across the 5th/11th axis of children and community. I always use antiscia, and when doing so Pluto forms a T square to this 180. The antiscia of MA/UR is across the cusps of 2nd/8th Koch cusps of physical pleasures [including sex] and our relationship with value systems [morality issues?] . Neptune at MC is helpless political activity, and then look at the debilitated Moon in the 6th of social services [including the police]. This is a most disturbing chart. I can see the ethnic divides, but would rather this gets explored in the forum, or I can comment further later.

This chart really started ringing alarm bells for me. When we look at a national mundane chart, the MC signifies the Monarch or president of the country. In local charts such as this, the MC signifies our politicians, with the 11th house given to the local council.

Neptune elevated at the MC and with the antiscion of mercury, can show a politician with the backing of the media and / or manipulating them. Often times Neptune at the MC has a deceptive, but almost charismatic and flamboyant media presence; to some there's an element of glamour.. After doing more research, I found that Cyril Smith was a previous politician in this area. After his death in 2010, much of his paedophilia came to light and it turns out he was a friend of that other notorious paedophile Jimmy Saville. He was into spanking little boys bums.

Smith was also the God father of a previous political editor of the BBC, and much like Saville prided himself on his charity work hiding his sordid little [open] secret.

The trouble with this situation was bossinesses in this area, were often beholden to Smith and his many associates in high places.

When a young 15 year old girl smashed up a local Balti house in the summer of 2008, the media were busy dealing with a case involving Smith and his dodgy associations with an asbestos company. After years of cover-ups and accusations of his sexual misdemeanours, business leaders and the media no doubt had been boxed into a corner. Scandal was in the air, and the young girl was dismissed as an unreliable witness. Mercury is a general indicator of children, and when at the antiscion of Neptune in a chart such as this, their vulnerabilities are easy manipulated by someone like Smith.

So if local businesses see politicians getting away with such things with a complicit media, why wouldn't they think they could get away with it themselves?
