Greetings all,

I recently pulled the chart of a person I started dating a couple of months ago. A few things I have noticed so far, — the mars square Chiron — I’m wondering about this. Is this going to kill sex!?

The other thing is that he wants to move fast and I want to take things slow (my mars is in Leo but my Jupiter and mercury are in Taurus and our composite has a lot in Taurus). I get the feeling that when I try to pump the breaks a little, it upsets him but he doesn’t come out and say it. I’m actively trying to find the middle ground with him right now as I am interested but wanting to move slower as we also both have kids.

The other thing I wonder about is our mercury’s — with my sun, moon, and Venus in Gemini I’m naturally mercurial — talkative and connecting on an intellectual level is stimulating. While we have mercury conjunct sun n both synastry and composite, it’s also square Saturn. I can feel Saturns weight slowing communication down which I do not love. With that said, we still can communicate well— it’s just more thoughtful and controlled.

What I DO like is the emotional safety and grounding I feel with him. I feel calm and nurtured by him and like he’s someone that could be reliable.

any insight on our dynamic? The mars square Chiron and squares in composite? Saturn squares? Sag/Cancer Asc? Saturn in composite 5th! I’m actually genuinely trying to put in effort despite these challenges and trying to understand if this is worth it.

Any insight and feedback would be appreciated and welcome!

🙏

Greetings,

IMHO, I think it's wise to take it slow especially since you both have kids. In my experience with synastry, etc., Saturn aspects can indicate longevity. Even if the relationship is not easy, it still can last and the composite planets in Taurus may bear that out. The tight Mars/Chiron square could mean you may have been brought together for healing something in both of you.
The synastry charts are a little hard to read since they don't show degrees. It looks like he's an Aries which would explain the impatience to take it slow. Also is his Venus on your Chiron?
And how about his Moon? Scorpio or Sag?

Thanks,

Kate

Thank you Kate. Interesting! Didn’t think about all that practical, grounding Taurus in the composite. He said his birthtime is 11:05am and if that’s accurate his moon would be in Sagittarius early degrees. It does look like his venus is conjunct my Chiron in my 4th in synastry as well

Hi, I received an email notification that you responded to my comments on Sat. Oct. 26. You were saying things about yours & his Mars energy & how you both spend your time (you're more busy than he). And you brought up the Mars-Chiron connection & wondering if that came into play.

However, I don't see it when I log into this site. I wonder why?

Any thoughts?

Kate

Hi there,

Thanks so much for your reply. As I learned more about him, I decided to end it. While I believe he is genuinely a good person, he disclosed some things to me that happened between he and his ex which for me, were deal breakers for me as a single parent of a teenage girl. The pace was already moving faster than I was comfortable with so I am grateful for approaching with my eyes wide open. He has many traits that m seeking in a partner but learning he had “anger issues” both internalizing and externalizing AND seeing the mars squares in our composite and that mars square Chiron, I didn’t want to risk seeing how that could manifest.

I deleted my post because I didn’t want anyone to put more effort into replies and I couldn’t delete the initial post.

Back to the drawing board… hoping to manifest “the right fit” at some point

In astrology, Mars square Chiron in synastry or composite charts often highlights a tension between drive and healing. This aspect may bring forth hidden wounds in relationships, challenging partners to confront issues of self-worth, aggression, or past trauma. While it can lead to friction, it also offers an opportunity for growth if both individuals are open to understanding and healing these deep-seated issues together. It encourages resilience and transformation, allowing both to become more aware of their vulnerabilities and work through them.

As I learned more about him, I decided to end it.
Wise decision.
The mars/Chiron is only one aspect showing difficulty in the relationship.
Mars on saturn, moon opposing neptune, Sun opposing pluto, pluto on NN, uranus on NN, sun on SN.
The composite shows saturn squaring the very important sun/venus/mercury stellium, as well as the deceptive and delusional moon square neptune.
All aspects that would have presented heavy challenges to you in the future.
As we already mentioned, considering you have children who will be part of the relationship, it's best to go slowly.
The right one should have loving aspects with your chart.

Good thinking. I admire that you listened to your instincts and looked at it with "eyes wide open". You remind me of my very smart Gemini daughter! I do believe you will find the right fit - especially after Saturn moves out of Pisces.

❤️❤️❤️ thank you for your affirming message. The combination of instinct, awareness, and an astrological perspective has been helpful in navigating potentials while also being cautious and protective of myself and my child 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you so much, Sabina. I hope so as aside from occasionally dating and getting to know potential partners, I have been single for almost 14 years now which is a long time. The positive is that I’ve learned so much about myself along the way. The challenge of course is believing that “the right fit” will eventually turn up.

Thank y

Thank you so much. This helps me understand the configuration. Due to the other aspects and placements mentioned in addition to this one, I don’t have the bandwidth to work out these issues with him and I wouldn’t want to put my child through that either so I respectfully stopped dating him. 🙏
