Change in life after the age of 42

Hello,

Is it true that at the age of 42 or a little after life turns around (good or bad)? Why a 42-year milestone is so important in life from an Astrological standpoint.

Since my Rahu/Jupiter/Saturn is located in the tenth house and Rahu gets matured at the age of 42 and I am turning 43 this October.
do you see any sign of some changes in the coming years?

Each planet has a natural age when it shows its effects to the exclusion of other planets. When you talk of 42 years of age it refers to Rahu. It being a worldly planet and one that generates desire to garner as much material acquisitions in the lifetime as possible, one can say that 42 years of life would finally and firmly entangle a man in worldly affairs. Rahu will show its results, good or not so good, at this age. A planet when strong or very weak in a chart will show its imprint at the given age; such as Jupiter at 16 years, the Sun at 21, the Moon at 24, etc.

Thank you, Dinesh, what is the best method to identify if Rahul will give malefic or benefic results in someone's chart? My Rahu is positioned in the 10 house (Scorpio Lagna) and in the close conjunction with Jupiter. I have had job related issues while undergoing Rahul AD. So is it fair to say that after Rahu's maturity I will be facing more troublesome at workplace and at home as well. Just in case if you are interested to take a look:

Your Rahu is in the sign of the Sun which is not a good place for Rahu to be at. Rahu is in a Magha nakshatra of Ketu. Rahu is uncomfortably close to Rahu. Therefore it is polluting Jupiter but it is not close to the Sun so the full adverse impact of Rahu does not fall on the tenth house. Rahu is in Cancer navamsha of the Moon where Mars is placed in the birth chart. Rahu is distinctly disturbing the fourth house of home and mother, tenth of profession and the ninth of destiny and fortune. It might have caused unhappy effects relating to these houses to appear but you are runn9ing the major-period of Mercury since March 2018. Mercury is definitely not a good planet for your ascendant. It is likely to cause humiliation, unhappiness, losses and setbacks to you from time to time.
Currently you are going through the sub-period of Venus in the major-period of Mercury since July 2021 till May/2024. As the sub-period planet is associated with the major-period planet the adverse effects of the major-period planet will be felt at this time.

The maturity of Rahu will go into the background.

So just I can understand in layman's terms, Rahu will get more fierce as he is mature now and as you explained sitting on a volcano will never give benefic results at any cost.

You're absolutely right about the Mercury Mahadasha. I can bet with anyone, Mercury is crueler than any other planet. I'm already living in hell since mid-2018...

The fun part is the sade sati which is looting my savings like anything. If I tell the nitty-gritty experience, Saturn Mahadasha destroyed my profession and Mercury destroyed my personal/financial/social life..

It is always the periods, major or sub that cause long term trouble. The maturity of planets are generally confined to the year of maturity. No planet is universally cruel. Each assumes nature according to the chart.

So I presume my Mercury-Sun Dasha will go bad as well. Sun is debilitated and situated in Tula.
