Do sidereal or tropical systems take into account the sun's movement through space?

"..Earth's motion around the Sun, not as simple as I thought.." :)

This is not what the poster was asking, but the Sun's own motion through space. Wouldn't this mean precession, as the Sun moves over a period of several thousand years through one sign and back into the next sign? Next or current passage through tropical Aquarius or sidereal .....?
Totally different to the Sun's apparent daily motion through the signs (zodiac) as seen from Earth during the course of a year .... plus a degree or two .... as a result of Earth's own orbit of the Sun, through which it is always in opposition to it.

I have never personally read of the Sun's own motion through the cosmos being part of an Earth based astrological interpretation of a chart. Its effect through a sign covers aspects of Earth's Evolutionary Eras, doesn't it?

Precession is the gradual change in the orientation of a spinning body's rotational axis.
It can occur in astronomy & mechanics:

In astronomy, precession is the slow change in the orientation
of a planet or star's rotational axis :)
This is caused by the gravitational pull of the Sun, Moon & planets.
For example:
Earth's axis of rotation
wobbles in a cycle called precession of the equinoxes
which takes 25,772 years to complete.
Precession causes the positions of constellations
to change over time, & it also affects the Earth's seasons

So it's NOT the gradual motion of the Sun through the cosmos, but planet Earth itself?
Logical when thinking about it because stars (Suns) are said to have fixed positions.
Years back I appear to have misinterpretted the wording within the study book in which precession was described. The mental picture created has never found reason to be questioned to alter it.
I'll have to get my head around above concept to envision it.

Thanks for putting me straight J.A ...... Sorry MoonBucket for providing incorrect information (tr. Sun opp natal Mercury, Tr. Mercury quincunx natal Saturn.)

At what speed is Sun Travelling?
The SUN & the SOLAR SYSTEM appear to be moving at 200 kilometers per second :)
or
at an average speed of 448,000 mph aka 720,000 km/h.
Even at this rapid speed :)
the solar system would take about 230 million years
to travel all the way around the Milky Way.
The Milky Way, too, moves in space relative to other galaxies.

Astrology, whether tropical or sidereal, is basically geocentric. Meaning, the earth is assumed to be the center of the cosmos. This model is not astronomically correct, but it shows the sun rising and setting, and moving across different constellations with the passage of seasons.

Some of the early Hellenists thought the earth moved around the sun, but their theory was discounted until the Copernican Revolution of the 16th century. By 1700, astrology went into a deep sleep, as it could not keep up with advances in astronomy (and medicine, for which medical astrology was an integral part.)

Precession relates to a wobble in the earth's orbit.

Earth's place in the universe
the three types of motion that the Earth undergoes:
diurnal, annual, and precessional. :)
With clear explanations and stunning visuals
gain a deeper understanding
of how these motions affect the Earth's position in the universe
& its relationship to other celestial bodies.
By the end of this video, you'll be able to explain what is meant
by diurnal motion, annual motion & precession of the equinoxes.
Whether you're a student of astronomy or simply fascinated
by the mysteries of the universe, this video is a must-watch.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to expand your knowledge

and master this essential learning competency.
