The astrological influences of the star Sirius

It gives honor, renown, wealth [Robson, p.208.]

Well connected, it promises fame, honors and riches :)

.

If you have Sirius conjunct AC, you are likely to have being incarnated at Sirius but as a recent one, and even your last incarnation in the stars is also in Sirius. My intuition sensed that you lived on a planet in the Sirius B on the last incarnation before you landed on the Lemurian civilization

I have a Cancer Ascendant at 13 degrees and according to the astro.com ,I have a Sirius conjunction Ascendant. I've heard that if you have a planet or star conjunct your Ascendant ,then you have the traits of that planet or star. I've also heard that having this aspect means that you are going to have fame and fortune in life. Beside all of these, do you know anything else about this conjunction? Or what Sirius represents? Thank you.
Astrological tradition
as well as research
tells us
that the planets acquire greater impact on the chart
when they are near an angle :)

i.e. the Ascendant, the Midheaven, the Descendant or Imum Coeli.
the peak of a planet's energy - Tradition suggests -
is near the angles in the angular houses.

It is clear that planets have a fourfold rhythm of intensity.
Each planet peaks in influence four times a day as it rises, culminates, sets
and makes its lower culmination.

- suppose that two planets are situated such that
they will both have transit angles simultaneously possibly the same angle in simultaneous rising
or different angles, as with one rising while the other sets

or culminates.

If this situation arises

then the two planets' peaking cycles
would be at least somewhat coordinated
- linking the energies of the two planets in a manner similar to an aspect

i.e.
If on a certain day Saturn rises with Mars culminating peak
causing a Mars and Saturn peak of energy to coincide

- thus linking Mars and Saturn.

This is one of the most ancient of all astrological traditions .

The Babylonians used these angle linkings
long before aspects on the ecliptic.
Babylonian astrology was an observational one
and the horizon and meridian circles
are much more easily seen outdoors than the ecliptic.

Ptolemy discusses these linkings in Almagest at great length.

- there are enough ancient records left
to indicate that they were considered to be important
.
They were called in Greek "..parantellonta.." in plural
and "..parantellonton.." in singular.

Hi JUPITERASC!
I still didn't manage the "true" Paran calculation ("they cross the great circles the horizon and meridian that define the angles") :innocent:
But this tool is a little add-on to the DAILY CALENDAR - Rising, Culminating and Settings times of the planets

Astro Tools > Electional Astrology Calculator > Paran Daily Clocks:

It's a simple daily 24-hours calendar (with +5 minutes time increments) showing when:
- 2 (or more) planets are simultaneously angular (conjuncting ASC/DSC/MC/IC on ecliptic)
- within some user pre-selected orb

Eg:
- 3 planets are simultaneously angular
- Angular Orb <5°
- Mercury is involved/angular

Hi Slytherin88, I enjoyed your code to Harry Potter,
I'm not here to question your beliefs, but controversy rages in what method to use with fixed stars,
the method you are using for Sirius conjunct AC is projected measure and isn't accurate to location using astronomy or parans,
the two methods are explained below:-
Parans are the oldest method and are visual:-

By using visual means at your location on date, Sirius doesn't rise untill 12:44pm with AS, graph on next thread section.

PORPHYRIUS MAGUS software written by astrologer Rumen Kolev
calculates parans to fixed stars :)
