Absolutely gorgeous. Can he see okay?

Nothing askew that I can tell. Out of all the cats, he is the most energetic and agile. I adopted him and his sister when they were 1, they had been in the cattery for 6 months. It’s strange to me that someone would purchase two ragdoll kittens and only have for them 6 months tops. Apparently she was too busy with work. I think Teddy started doing this from a kitten and that’s why she gave them up, although none of this was ever mentioned to me at the time. Never mind though, I’ve put up with it for 12+ years now. He was perfect when I used the cheap plastic litter boxes, so I’m going back to using them this week. Hopefully he adapts back.

Oh! He did not look ragdoll hairy, I guessed he was regular siamese. I love to visit with ragdolls because they are so sweet, but the one I know seems a little overwhelmed by his own hair. Hope Teddy is happier going back to the plain old box!

Overwhelmed by his own hair lol, bless. Yes, Ragdoll’s are so sweet. I think ‘overwhelmed’ is a good way to describe a Ragdoll cat because they are so incredibly sweet and naive, it’s a detriment to them. The sweetness is so incredibly lovely though.

I have a Mainecoon also, his fur gets knotted very easily because he is so long haired. But he’s also been incredibly easy to look after. I think Mainecoon’s are a lot ‘smarter,’ although maybe I just got lucky because Figaro has Sun-Jupiter in Virgo, so he’s always been very tidy and polite.

I remember you saying ages ago that your husband would love a Ragdoll but you’ve seen they can sometimes be a bit tricky to look after. I’m not sure if I just got unlucky with a Ragdoll cat and lucky with a Mainecoon (in terms of hygiene habits), but I would recommend a Mainecoon for being more independent and easier to look after.

Bless, Teddy, I feel bad even writing this criticism about him, such is the power and control he has slowly exerted over my life 😂

The way I see it -- the sweetness is safe in your home, under your protection which is fierce as it exits the sanctuary!

You have a good memory. My husband absolutely dotes on that ragdoll. I feel sorry for it because cats groom themselves and so you'd think their hygiene is essential to having a strong sense of self. I hate to see him not able to keep up with cleaning himself, as if it's too much of a good thing, like he has a square from Venus in Pisces. It makes me question whether it is creating some kind of excess suffering to breed cats with so MUCH HAIR. It's good to know your Virgo Sun-Jupiter Mainecoon is fine with long hair and maybe there are breeders out there who will plan astrologically!

You know what’s funny, and I know you’ll appreciate this, is that my cats have actually keep me safe. It is because I need to provide a safe and loving space for them, and think carefully about the choices I make, it has inadvertently taught me about having better boundaries for myself. I count my cats as starting me on my self-healing journey all those 12 years ago because that’s what I had to do. Isn’t the universe spooky like that, that it gives you what you need.

I agree that I think it is unethical to breed pets for these purposes, even if they brought us such adorable creations. I adopted my two Ragdoll’s from a cattery, which is more ethical, but I did buy Figaro as a kitten, something which I will never do again, since the only way to own a pet as a Vegan is to rescue. I can remember the breeder hugging Figaro and saying a little prayer before I took him, but she shouldn’t be running a business selling kittens in the first place tbh 🤷‍♀️
