This attack occurred September 29, 2023.

Experienced hiking couple and their dog bedded down in a tent for the night, were attacked by the elderly female grizzly in not very healthy shape to make it through the winter. The couple and their dog died.

The distress monitor they had was activated at 8:15pm. Stating serious grizzly attack.

Because of weather complications, a helicopter could not be dispatched. When they got to the remote location, at 5 am on September 30th, the 3 were deceased.

An aggressive female was found nearby, and was euthanized.

In this equal house chart it does look like death was fast - with the 3 Moira - in the early houses 12th, 1st - and the 4th for ending. :( Wow! What a way to go.... I was checking out Pluto as well. Then Neptune (sleeping?)

Hi Leomoon!

I can’t find the book I am looking for.

But, I think the 12th is very involved. The North Node, travelling past the ascendant, Chiron, the Moon, and shortly before Neptune was in the 12th and POF on the descendant.

What is Moira’s meaning? I will look it up. Thanks!

Pluto’s in the 9th.

Moira is in Leo, much of Ursa Major is in Leo.

At 7:50pm the nodes are conjunct asc. Moon, Neptune, Chiron and Saturn were in the 12th. Pluto was in the 10th.

Sorry all, new phone, trying to figure the doggone thing out.

29th, last /ending degree
Curious, we don’t know time of death, do you think 9:10pm is reasonable astrologically? Grizzlies do not necessarily kill immediately. They are known to toy with things, for a while. Sometimes bury for later. Some have escaped from that scenario.

Moose kill more people a year than any animal in Canada. Car accidents mostly.

Crocodiles kill more than any animal worldwide per year.

In this country, we've had lately some "sick bears" although we weren't told how they were sick when put down. Sick from not eating? Don't know.....One was a female and highly aggressive. Since its been some time, I can't find the article now.
Here is a list of some in North America:

Opal: I always use on default setting, the 3 Moira - They come in with us at birth according to Plato and leave with us at death (should see them in transits then accompanying us)
I wrote and dedicated a book about them too on Kindle.
Some depict the 3 sisters as old and scary, some depict them as young and lovely.

The Moirai, or Fates, were three goddesses of destiny in ancient Greek religion. Their duty was to preserve the natural order of life and death. To do this, the three sisters controlled the threads of a person’s life. Clotho spun it out at birth, Lachesis measured it, and Atropos cut it at the time of death.

Why? That's what bears do. It was business, not personal. 8th only shows how people die, not why or when. To know that you look at the 8th place from Fortune. Pluto the peace-maker who didn't enter Cancer in 1914 and has nothing to do with WW I has nothing to do with anything.

And people laugh when traditional indicators show death by animal. 3-4 dozen people in the US are killed by dogs every year.

Quite :)

Dire predictions by Valens et al :)

One reason why I don't think I want to practice Hellenistic astrology although I've been reading a lot of it lately, is because so many of the interpretations are just seem dire to the point of being silly. So how does one practice a reasonably authentic Hellenistic astrology without the sensationalistic interpretations?
BUT to be realistic, '..dire..' events do occur from time to time - just reading the news media confirms that fact!
Valens also is one guy who loaded his text with a lot of sensationalist and dire predictions. Not my cup of tea, but somebody else might appreciate them.
Sensational events do occur though! As evidenced by news reports
More generally, according to Rhetorius the Egyptian (sec. 77)
you are in danger of being killed by "wild beasts" if your Mars is the ruler of the sign (i.e., Scorpio or Aries) of the 8th house and the house is "impedited" (??)without being aspected by Jupiter or Venus or if Mars is aspected by the sun.....

Lion killed volunteer at California big cat sanctuary after the worker climbed into the animals cage.

Investigators are trying to find out why the woman was inside the enclosure
and what might have provoked the attack.

Nicole Paquette, vice president of Humane Society of United States, animal welfare charity, said:

"..She should have never been in the enclosure with him.
These are big cats that are extremely dangerous.."

You know, while death by animal attacks in the wild might have happened in late antiquity, I wonder if those death forecasts refer to something like Christians or convicted criminals having to fend off lions in the Colosseum. (cf. Androcles and the Lion.)
That certainly seems a possibility in antiquity
However, evidence regarding the 20th and 21st Centuries is easier to confirm

2012 - according to Big Cat Rescue Sanctuary in Tampa, Florida
at least 21 people, including five children,
have been killed
and
246 mauled by exotic cats in the US since 1990.

Over that period, 254 cats escaped and 143 were killed.

...With a Mars-sun contact, you are also in danger of being crucified or beheaded, so watch it.
Beheading is a not unusual occurrence even in today's '..civilized world..'!

- Mexico for example is frequently in the news
regarding drug-cartel related beheading
Unfortunately murders where the victim is beheaded have occurred worldwide
- including US

I do agree, humans take big (and dumb) chances going into their territory, their homes to camp out, cook-out and leave all manner of smells and sometimes interact with the animals which is not something we should do. My neighbors ALL do this, even with their young children and grandchildren in the woods where there are wild animals, bears & mountain lions in some instances depending on which campgrounds or mountains.

Timothy Treadwell

He was a filmmaker and bear enthusiast. Spent much time with bears. One year he and his girlfriend got get killed by a bear. There is a birthtime and time of death for him.

O.K. How many animals get killed every year by humans?
