With earthquakes/volcano's, it's always worth looking at the previous eclipses for they sensitise degree areas which will often spring to life through transits; Mars seems to always be a reliable trigger. In the 1538 chart the previous Lunar eclipse was at 1 degree Sagittarius with Mars forming a T square from Virgo; the eruption occurred just as Mars ingressed and applied to the eclipse degree. The IC [ground underneath us was at 15 Cancer 41. The previous solar eclipse of our present chart shows Mars at 15 Cancer 46, with Uranus on the ascendant and the IC at 6 Leo 41. As I write Uranus is still conjunct the ascendant, with Mars applying to the eclipse IC and also at the antiscion of Uranus/ascendant. Note that 15 degrees Cancer sheds its sesqui-quadrate aspect to 0 degrees Sagittarius.
