Anyone actually believe in Muses?

Right. "Carl", not "Karl". Good catch. Stay Jung at heart!

Btw, mythological Chiron as "wounded healer" is Carl Jung's contribution, as well as giving a huge boost to the Aquarian Age concept.
I have a very Aquarian chart as I know (All planets in Aquarius are the extremely aspected in the chart, heavily aspected Uranus), and it's nice to heading to Aquarian Age since in the Capricornian Age, no one want to accept my Aquarian nature, except you, Ukpoohbear and some other people in this forum.
Chiron? I have a heavily aspected Chiron in Aquarius also, and it make me accelerating faster to the Aquarian Age and the 5D consciousness than other people...

I don't believe in Muses, but I do know them as a source of inspirstion and Urania is my favorite. She is really fitting to :uranus:'s characteristics, so I see the reason DS renamed it as Urania.
For DS: My :uranus: is in :pisces:, Neptune's domicile sign and the transiting :uranus: in :taurus: is sextiling my natal :uranus:, It's a nice transit this year!
Reason that I don't belive in Muses is that I believe in Source, the Source of Life and I don't have freedom to believe in the mythological characters (they're archetypes, of course).

Greco-Roman Muses are of the same category as Christian Angels. The Muses were goddesses to the ancient Greeks, daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, goddess of Memory (a Titan, like Helios and Cronos).

"Archetype" is another Jungian term. We don't have to believe the gods and/or goddesses are actual supernatural Beings, but they affect our psyches as if they are.

Sorry, I'm deconstructing from the Evangelical Christianity upbringing!

The early Roman Catholic Church was replacing the Roman pantheon with a pantheon of Angels. But Jupiter was too well-loved to be easily cast aside.

So, the Church declared him to be an evil demon, chosen by Satan to deceive his worshipers into believing he was good.

A goddess replacement was also necessary, because the Angels were considered to be male. So, there was an informal acknowledgement of the Virgin Mary as "goddess-like", who could be worshipped, although not a member of the Trinity or an Angel.

So, according to Christians, Jupiter is Lucifer?

Well, Jung certainly changed my life, his analytical method. It was reading about him that led me to the exploration of astrology. And then when I discovered Chiron later, it made my chart and my life make sense.

When I discovered Chiron, it makes a lot of sense to me too! Especially since he is the most aspected centaur in my chart and he is very prominent and inherent in my life, and I'm healing my Chironic wounds (Chiron Aqua 9th house). His story is similar to mine, because my father left me when I was still a foetus/fetus, and came back 9 years later...

Last night I came to recognize the tree as my muse. Especially the willow tree.

"In Greek mythology, the willow goes hand-in-hand with magic, sorcery, and creativity. Hecate, one of the most powerful figures in the underworld, taught witchcraft, and she was the goddess of both the willow and the moon. Poets were inspired by Heliconian, the willow-muse, and the poet Orpheus traveled to the underworld carrying branches from a willow tree."

No, just an imitation of God, to prevent the worship of the real Biblical God.

They were competing with the pantheistic Roman religion, converting followers, and Jupiter was "king of the gods".
That's my idea, too. Jupiter is the chief Roman God, much like Zeus in Greek mythology and the gods in these 2 pantheons prevent people from worship the Biblical God (YHWH)

My depiction of Sun/Pluto energy. The willow tree is thrashing about in a storm as I often do when my ego is processing what my shadow wants to bring to light.

For me, the Christian muses are Gabriel and Zachariel/Zerachiel, because both helps people in knowledge (Gabriel is the angel that helped Muhammad wrote the Quran, and Gabriel also help prophets to prophesize future events, and Zachariel is the angel that helps people to remember things better, and for better exam results, you can pray to Zachariel)

I always thought a muse was an actual person who inspired you to creativity? What actually is a muse?

The 9 Muses of the Greco-Romans were all goddesses, daughters of Zeus/Jupiter and Titaness Mnemosyne, goddess of Memory, with actual shrines and worshippers. Astrologer/astronomers, for example, prayed to Ourania/Urania for inspiration in their chosen fields of study.

Now, it's the "Creative Spirits" in general. It's mostly used as a metaphor, for an inspirational person or imaginary spirit-guide, especially in the Arts.

Notes: Gabriel is a Uranian angel, and Zarachiel/Zerachiel/Zachariel/Zahariel is a Mercurial angel.

Same with the medical profession. Women who practiced herbal medicine were "witches". Men were "doctors".

In the 4th Century A.D., Hypatia became the head of the Alexandrian scientific community, by virtue of her mathematical and astronomical ability. Couldn't have THAT, now could they?
Btw, Hypatia WAS a practioner of astrology, although modern-day historians are loath to admit it. All her written works were destroyed when she was killed, so her astrological contributions were lost.
IF she did study Astrology too, or practice it, I'd love to know about it, I'm only familiar with her practice of Astronomy. Her father was quite famous and that is why the people accepted her back then. The movie about Hypatia starring Rachel Weiss is really worth watching on DVD or where ever you find it. Someone mailed it to me said she reminded her of me., lol. I thoroughly enjoyed it however.

There are parts of it (the movie is called "Agora" named after the Agora which was the Library of Alexandria which is in the movie and burned down)

the Trailer for Agora:

On this video about the History of the times and Hypatia - at the 7:30 mark - they talk about how she studied with her father, the great "Theon", a Greek philosopher and teacher/mathematician and was his prized student. She did learn Astronomy they say, and Astrology. Wish I knew more about that....if he is correct:
